-I got a 50mm f/1.8 lens from Adoraama. I’m excited to start using it. The photo quality is insane. I think my kit lens is going to collect dust for a very long time, though I do think I’ve made good use of it in the few months I’ve had it.
-I picked up some of the pictures I sent to be developed and it made me so happy. Sometimes I feel as if I am not fit for the digital age. Gimme type writers and vinyl. Gimme film (says the girl watching youtube videos on her laptop and browsing tumblr, yeah okay).
-I’m working on my chapbook again since I have everything I need. Maybe second time’s the charm? It’s probably going to be super cheap. 6 bucks tops… A few pages of poems with some random but relevant illustrations. I’m still deciding.
-I realized today when I stepped outside and it was sunny that winter makes me a moody person. I miss my summer brown skin and billowy dresses.
-I’ve filled four photo albums with pictures of my entire life over the past week. The albums remind me of the things I should take pride in, the amount of things I have yet to accomplish, and how much love I am surrounded by at any given moment. I am truly blessed to have built the relationships I have, no matter how long they lasted, how hurt I got in the end, how many days I took them for granted or forgot their existence. Motivation to move forward… I can never get enough of that.
